Why You'll Want This Again
Cooking Hints
- Use fresh cinnamon for a more vibrant flavor.
- Add a little maple syrup or honey if you want extra sweetness without overpowering the natural flavors.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray. Give the spaghetti squash a quick zap in the microwave for about a minute to make it easier to cut. Carefully slice it in half and scoop out the seeds. Place the squash halves cut-side down on the baking sheet.
Step 2
Pop the squash in the oven and bake until it starts to get tender, around 30 minutes. Then, flip the halves over using tongs. Add a tablespoon of butter into each cavity and sprinkle some brown sugar over the top. Dust with a little nutmeg and cinnamon, then fill the cavities with sliced apples.
Step 3
Put the squash back in the oven and bake until the apple slices are soft and everything is nicely cooked through, about 30 to 40 minutes more. When itβs done, scoop the squash strands out with a fork and serve them over the tender apple slices on your plates. Enjoy!
