What Makes This Recipe So Great
Pro Kitchen Tips
- Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure even cooking and prevent steaming.
- Adjust the soy sauce and garlic to taste for a personalized flavor balance.
Directions
Warm some oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the garlic and cook it for about a minute until it smells amazing. Toss in the collard greens and stir them around so they get coated with the garlic oil. Pour in the broth and soy sauce, then cover the pan and turn the heat down a bit. Let everything steam together, giving the greens a stir every few minutes, until they’re tender—this should take around 7 to 8 minutes. When they’re done, take the pan off the heat, drizzle a little sesame oil over the top, and give it one last toss before serving.
