Why This Dish Is Amazing
Kitchen Tricks
- Donโt overwork the meat mixture to keep the meatballs tender.
- Brown the meatballs well before simmering to add depth to the taste.
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, sausage, bread crumbs, finely chopped onion, milk, egg, parsley, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined, then shape the mixture into small meatballs.
Step 2
Heat some oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the meatballs in batches so they donโt overcrowd the pan, turning them occasionally until theyโre nicely browned all over and cooked through, about 6 to 8 minutes.
Step 3
While the meatballs are cooking, whisk together boiling water, sour cream, flour, paprika, and a bit of pepper in a deep saucepan over low heat. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and let everything simmer gently for 15 to 20 minutes, until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld together.
Step 4
Serve warm and enjoy!
