Why This Dish Is Amazing
Chef's Cooking Tips
- Press the mixture firmly into the pan to help the bars hold together.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting to avoid crumbling.
Step 1
Warm your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a big bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, and egg. Then, cut in the butter until the mixture looks crumbly. Stir in the chopped peanuts, and set aside about 2 cups of this peanut crumble for later. Press the rest evenly into a 9x13-inch baking pan. Pop it in the oven and bake until it’s just starting to turn golden, about 15 minutes.
Step 2
While that’s baking, whisk together the condensed milk, peanut butter, and vanilla in another bowl until smooth. Once the crust is ready, spread this peanut butter mixture over it, then sprinkle the reserved crumble on top. Bake everything again until the top is lightly browned, around 25 minutes. Let the bars cool completely before cutting them into squares. Enjoy!
