What Makes This Recipe So Good
Tips To Improve This Recipe
- Use sweet or smoked paprika for a more authentic and rich taste.
- Let the sauce simmer gently to allow the flavors to blend and thicken nicely.
Step 1
Heat some oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the steak and cook it, stirring often, until itโs nicely browned all over, about 5 minutes. Next, stir in the water, ketchup, chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, paprika, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper. Bring everything to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer gently. Cook it for 2 to 3 hours until the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened up.
Step 2
While the beef is simmering, bring a big pot of salted water to a boil. Toss in the egg noodles and cook them, stirring now and then, until theyโre just tender but still have a bit of biteโabout 5 minutes. Drain the noodles well.
Step 3
When everythingโs ready, spoon the beef and sauce over the noodles and enjoy!
