Why This Recipe Stands Out
Cooking Tips
- Cook the flatbreads on medium heat to ensure they cook through without burning.
- Brush with melted butter or ghee after cooking for extra flavor and a nice shine.
Step 1
Gently heat your oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C) and lining a baking sheet with foil. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon, turning it now and then, until itβs nice and crispyβthis should take about 10 minutes. Once itβs done, drain the bacon on some paper towels and crumble it up once itβs cool enough to handle.
Step 2
Lay out your naan flatbreads on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle half of the Gruyere cheese over each one, leaving about a half-inch border around the edges. Add a layer of blue cheese and some red onion on top. Pop them into the oven and bake until they start to turn golden brown, which usually takes around 7 to 9 minutes.
Step 3
Take the flatbreads out and scatter the blueberries and crumbled bacon over them, then sprinkle on the rest of the Gruyere. Slide them back into the oven for just a couple more minutes until the cheese melts and everything looks beautifully golden. Finish things off with some fresh basil slices and a crack of black pepper. Serve right away and enjoy!
