Why This Meal Is A Winner
Cooking Techniques
- Use a wire rack on the baking sheet to allow air circulation and even cooking.
- Adjust the spice levels to your preference by adding more or less chili powder or cayenne.
Step 1
Grab a big bowl and toss the chicken wings with chili flakes, cumin, chili powder, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, chili sauce, soy sauce, and a splash of vinegar. Mix everything well so the wings are nicely coated. Cover the bowl and let the wings marinate for at least 30 minutes, or pop them in the fridge overnight if you have time.
Step 2
Pour some all-purpose flour into another bowl. Take each wing and coat it in the flour, then dip it quickly into cold water. After that, give it another roll in the flour to get a nice, crispy coating. Shake off any extra flour before cooking.
Step 3
Heat some oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry the wings in batches until theyβre golden brown and crispy all over. When theyβre done, transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to soak up any excess oil.
Step 4
Serve the wings hot with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
