Why This Recipe Works
Pro Kitchen Tips
- Lightly steam the broccoli if you prefer a softer bite.
- Let the salad chill for at least an hour to let the flavors meld.
Step 1
Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Turn it now and then until it’s nice and crispy, which should take about 10 minutes. Once it’s done, transfer the bacon to some paper towels to drain and let it cool before crumbling it into bite-sized pieces.
Step 2
In a big bowl, toss together the crumbled bacon, chopped broccoli, raisins, sliced green onions, and sunflower seeds. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sugar, and apple cider vinegar until smooth. Pour this dressing over the broccoli mix and give everything a good toss so it’s all evenly coated. Enjoy!
