Why This Recipe Works
Better Cooking Tips
- Keep an eye on the fish to prevent overcooking; it should flake easily with a fork.
- Pat the fish dry before seasoning to help the lemon and pepper stick better.
Directions
Move your oven rack so it's about 6 inches from the broiler, then go ahead and preheat the broiler. Line a broiler pan with foil to make cleanup easier. Place the tilapia fillets on the pan. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with parsley and lemon-pepper seasoning, then brush this flavorful butter all over the fish. Sprinkle some bread crumbs on top for a little crunch. Pop the pan under the broiler and cook until the fish flakes easily with a fork, which should take about 7 to 9 minutes. When it’s done, carefully remove the fish and place it on a serving dish. Pour any leftover butter sauce from the pan over the fish, being careful not to spill, and enjoy right away.
