What Makes This Recipe Unique
Tips For Better Flavor
- Use a tight-fitting lid to keep the steam inside for evenly cooked rice.
- Let the rice rest covered for 10 minutes after baking to allow moisture to distribute evenly.
Directions
Lightly heat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). In a saucepan, bring the water and olive oil to a boil, then stir in the salt. Pour the rice into a 9x13-inch baking dish and carefully pour the hot water mixture over it. Cover the dish tightly with two layers of aluminum foil to keep the steam in. Pop it into the oven and bake until the water is fully absorbed, which should take about an hour. When itβs done, take the rice out, uncover it, and gently fluff it with a fork. Then, cover it with paper towels and let it sit for about 5 minutes to soak up any extra steam. Finally, remove the paper towels and let the rice cool for a few minutes before serving.
