What Makes This Dish So Tasty
Tips From The Kitchen
- Cook the carrots just until tender to keep a slight crunch.
- Stir the glaze gently to coat the carrots evenly without breaking them.
Step 1
Place the carrots in a saucepan and covering them with water. Bring it to a boil, then turn the heat down to medium-low and let the carrots simmer until they’re tender—this usually takes about 10 to 12 minutes. Once they’re done, drain the water and move the carrots to a serving dish.
Step 2
Use the same pan to make the glaze. Melt the butter over medium heat, then add the brown sugar, Dijon mustard, ginger, and a pinch of salt. Stir everything together and cook for a couple of minutes until the sugar has completely dissolved and the sauce is nice and smooth.
Step 3
Finally, pour the warm glaze over the carrots and toss them gently to coat everything evenly. Serve right away and enjoy!
