Why This Dish Is Amazing
Kitchen Tricks
- Lightly butter the outside of the pretzel buns before grilling for a golden, crispy crust.
- Warm the ham slightly before assembling to help the cheese melt evenly.
Directions
Gently heat your outdoor grill to medium, around 325 to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Give the grill grate a light brush of oil to keep things from sticking. On a baking sheet, lay out 8 pretzels with the salty side facing down. Spread the ham and cheese evenly over them, then top each with another pretzel, salt side up. Carefully transfer these pretzel sandwiches to the grill. To press them down, place a heavy oven-safe skillet or some foil-wrapped bricks on top. Close the lid and grill for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until the cheese is all melted and gooey. Enjoy!
