Heat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Get a muffin tin ready by either greasing the cups or lining them with paper liners. In a bowl, cream together the brown sugar and butter until smooth, then beat in the egg until everything is nicely combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and allspice. Add half of this dry mix to the butter mixture and stir it in. Next, mix in the applesauce until itโs fully incorporated. Then, add the rest of the flour mixture, stirring gently just until everything comes together. Fold in the oats and chocolate chips. Spoon the batter into your prepared muffin cups, filling each about three-quarters full. Pop them in the oven and bake until the tops turn golden and spring back when you press them lightly, which should take around 25 minutes. Let them cool a bit before enjoying!
