Why This Dish Is So Satisfying
Smart Cooking Tips
- Melt the chocolate slowly over low heat or in short bursts in the microwave to avoid burning.
- Let the snacks cool completely on parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Directions
Puls half a cup of oats in a food processor until they turn into a fine powder, then pour them into a mixing bowl. Next, process half a cup of raisins in the food processor until they form a thick paste. To that, add the peanut butter, applesauce, brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon, and blend everything again until smooth. Stir the ground oats into this mixture until it starts to come together in a sticky dough. If it feels too dry, just add a little more applesauce to help it bind. Once your raisin mixture is ready, transfer it to a bowl and mix in the remaining oats, the rest of the raisins, chocolate chips, and peanuts. Scoop out rounded tablespoons of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls.
