Why This Recipe Is So Delicious
Tips For Perfect Results
- Cut the apples evenly so they cook at the same rate.
- Sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on top before baking for a stronger aroma.
Directions
Greas an 8-inch square baking dish. In a skillet over medium heat, toss together the apples, butter, brown sugar, half a tablespoon of cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Cook everything until the sugar starts bubbling and the apples soften a bit, about 5 minutes, then set it aside to cool. Next, blend the eggs, half-and-half, cream cheese, and the rest of the cinnamon until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Spread the cubed bagels, cooked apples, and pecans evenly in the bottom of your baking dish. Pour the egg mixture over the top, making sure all the bagel pieces get soaked. Cover and pop it in the fridge for at least 8 hours or overnight to let everything soak in. When youβre ready to bake, heat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Bake the dish for 30 to 40 minutes, or until itβs set and thereβs no liquid left. Serve it warm and enjoy!
