Why This Recipe Is So Delicious
Pro Cooking Tips
- Warm your milk or broth before adding to the potatoes to keep the mash smooth.
- Donβt overmix; gently fold ingredients to avoid a gluey texture.
Directions
Place the acorn squash, water, and the tea bag in your slow cooker. Set it to High and let it cook until the squash is nice and tender, which usually takes about an hour. Once itβs soft, scoop out the squash flesh and put it back into the slow cooker, tossing the skin and tea bag. Next, stir in the sausage, peanuts, and a splash of vanilla, mixing everything together well. Let it cook on High again for about 4 hours so the flavors can meld. Toward the end, add the cranberries, raisins, and brown sugar, giving it a good stir until everything is combined. Serve warm and enjoy!
