Better Cooking Tips
- Cook the bacon until crispy to add a nice crunch to the dish.
- Simmer the sauce gently to avoid curdling and keep it smooth.
Step 1
In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, sweet paprika, and Creole seasoning. Take about 2 teaspoons of this spice blend and set it aside for the sauce. Then, sprinkle the rest evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
Step 2
Heat some oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 4 minutes on each side, until the internal temperature reaches 165Β°F (74Β°C). Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a plate and cover it loosely with foil to keep warm. Wipe out the skillet to get rid of any browned bits.
Step 3
Turn the heat down to medium-low and melt the butter in the same skillet. Add the reserved spice mixture and give it a quick stir. Slowly pour in the heavy cream in two parts, stirring as you go. Let the sauce cook for a few minutes until it thickens up a bit.
Step 4
Finally, plate the chicken and spoon the creamy sauce over the top. Enjoy!
