Practical Cooking Tips
- Preheat the air fryer to get a crispy texture right from the start.
- Shake the basket halfway through cooking to ensure everything cooks evenly.
Step 1
Stir the chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small bowl. Squeeze the juice of one lime over the turkey breast, then sprinkle the spice mix all over it. Drizzle a tablespoon of oil on top, toss everything together so the turkey is well coated, and set it aside.
Step 2
Toss the bell peppers and onion in a bowl with the remaining oil until they’re nicely coated. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Step 3
Put the peppers and onions in the air fryer and cook for about 8 minutes. Give the basket a good shake, then cook for another 5 minutes. Add the jalapeños and cook for 5 more minutes. Open the basket again, give everything a shake, then lay the turkey strips in a single layer on top of the veggies. Close it up and cook for 7 to 8 minutes.
Step 4
Check the fajitas, shake the basket to mix things around, and keep cooking until the turkey is crispy on the edges and cooked through, and the peppers are tender—this should take about 5 more minutes.
Step 5
Once everything’s done, transfer the fajitas to a bowl or platter, sprinkle with fresh cilantro, and squeeze the juice of the remaining lime over the top before serving.
