Preheat your air fryer to 400Β°F. In a small bowl, whisk together an egg and a splash of water to make an egg wash. Lay out one empanada disc on your work surface, then add about a tablespoon of chocolate chips in the center, followed by half a banana slice. Brush the edges of the dough with the egg wash, fold it over, and press the edges firmly to seal. Repeat this with the remaining discs, chocolate, and bananas.

Brush the tops of the empanadas with a little milk and sprinkle on some turbinado sugar for a nice crunch. Arrange 3 to 4 empanadas in a single layer in the air fryer basketβjust donβt crowd them. Cook for about 6 to 7 minutes, or until theyβre golden and crispy. Transfer them to a plate and repeat with the rest.
