Why This Recipe Is So Delicious
Cooking Hints
- Use a non-stick skillet or enough oil to prevent the coating from burning.
- Cook on medium heat to ensure the fish cooks through without the crust getting too dark.
Step 1
Place your oven rack about 6 inches from the broiler and preheat it. Line a broiler pan with foil or give it a quick spray with olive oil. In a skillet over medium heat, warm up the olive oil and cook the garlic until it smells really good, about 3 to 5 minutes. While thatโs happening, mix together the Parmesan, garlic, buttery spread, almonds, mayo, bread crumbs, lemon juice, seafood seasoning, basil, black pepper, onion powder, and celery salt in a bowl.
Step 2
Lay the tilapia fillets in a single layer on your prepared pan and cover them with foil. Pop them under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes, then carefully flip the fillets, cover again, and broil for another 2 to 3 minutes. Take off the foil, spread the Parmesan mixture evenly on top, and broil one last time until the fish flakes easily and the topping turns golden and crispy, about 2 more minutes.
