Why This Dish Is So Special
Tips For Best Results
- Avoid overbaking to keep the brownies soft and fudgy. Check with a toothpick around 20-25 minutes.
- Use ripe avocado for a creamy consistency and subtle flavor that wonβt overpower the chocolate.
Directions
Heat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and lightly grease an 8-inch square baking dish with a tablespoon of coconut oil. In a small bowl, mix the flaxseed meal with water to create a "flax egg," then let it sit for about 5 minutes until it thickens. Next, add the flax egg, black beans, coconut sugar, avocado, and a couple of teaspoons of coconut oil to a food processor and blend everything until smooth. Toss in the cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder, and keep blending for a few minutes until the batter is nice and creamy. Pour the batter into your prepared dish, sprinkle in the chocolate chips, and give it a gentle stir to mix them in before smoothing out the top. Pop it in the oven and bake for around 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Once itβs cooled a bit, cut into 16 squares and feel free to add a few extra chocolate chips on top for a little extra indulgence.
