Why This Dish Is So Satisfying
Cooking Advice
- Oil the grill grates or the fish to prevent sticking.
- Cook skin-side down first to keep the fish moist and help it hold together.
Step 1
Stir the brown sugar into the hot water until itβs completely dissolved. Pour that into a large resealable plastic bag, then add the wine, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, and lemon pepper. Toss in the salmon, seal the bag, and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 8 hours or overnight if you have time.
Step 2
When youβre ready to cook, heat up your grill to high and give the grates a quick brush with some oil to keep the fish from sticking. Take the salmon out of the marinade (saving the liquid for later), and grill it for about 5 to 8 minutes on each side. Youβll know itβs done when the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Step 3
While the salmon is grilling, pour the reserved marinade into a small pot. Mix the cornstarch with a bit of cold water until smooth, then bring the marinade to a boil. Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens.
Step 4
Serve the salmon with the sauce drizzled over the top or on the side for dipping. Enjoy!
