Why This Recipe Is So Good
Cooking Advice
- Use a little water on the edges of the wrapper to seal them tightly.
- Cook dumplings in batches to prevent overcrowding and sticking.
Step 1
Boil a pot of water and cook the edamame for about 3 to 4 minutes until tender. Drain them and pop the edamame into a food processor along with garlic, ginger, 4 tablespoons of water, truffle oil, olive oil, soy sauce, and a bit of pepper. Blend everything until itβs completely smooth. Give it a taste and adjust the seasoning if you feel it needs a little something more.
Step 2
Set out a small bowl of water next to your dumpling wrappers and the filling. Take one wrapper and dip your finger in the water, then run it along the edge of half the wrapper in a half-moon shape. Spoon a small amount of the filling onto the center, then fold the wrapper over to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges firmly to seal the dumpling. Keep going until youβve used up all the filling.
Step 3
Place a steamer basket inside a saucepan and fill the pan with water just below the basketβs bottom. Bring the water to a boil, add the dumplings to the basket, cover, and steam them for about 3 to 5 minutes until the wrappers turn soft and tender. Serve warm and enjoy!
