Best Cooking Tips
- Use fresh garlic and Parmesan cheese for the best taste in your Alfredo sauce.
- Let the pressure release naturally for a few minutes to keep the chicken tender and juicy.
Step 1
Turn on your Instant Pot and setting it to the sautรฉ mode. Once itโs hot, toss in the butter, chopped red and green bell peppers, and onion. Let everything cook together for about 5 minutes until the veggies soften and smell amazing.
Step 2
While thatโs going, slice each chicken breast in half horizontally to make thinner pieces. Then cut those pieces into diagonal strips and sprinkle them with about 1 1/2 teaspoons of jerk seasoning. Add the seasoned chicken to the pot and cook it for around 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 3
Cancel the sautรฉ function. Stir in the penne pasta, water, whipping cream, and garlic base. Give everything a good mix so the pasta is submerged.
Step 4
Lock the lid in place and set your Instant Pot to cook on high pressure for 15 minutes. It might take about 10 to 15 minutes for the pressure to build up before the timer starts.
Step 5
When the cooking time is up, carefully use the quick-release method to let out the steam. Once the pressure is fully released, open the lid and stir in the remaining jerk seasoning and Parmesan cheese. If you want it creamier, feel free to add up to 1/4 cup more cream at this point. Give it a final stir and itโs ready to serve!
