Then, add chicken broth to the cup until the total liquid reaches one cup. Pour this flavorful broth mixture over the rice and give everything a good stir so the rice is evenly moistened. Cover the bowl with a microwave-safe lid and heat it in the microwave for about 7 minutes, or until the rice is tender and has soaked up the liquid. Let it sit, covered, for another 5 minutes to finish steaming. Before serving, fluff the rice gently with a fork to separate the grains.
