Better Cooking Tips
- Stir gently when layering to keep the noodles from breaking apart.
- Let the lasagna rest for a few minutes after cooking to help it set and make serving easier.
Step 1
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle in some olive oil. Once it’s hot, add the chopped onion and cook until it’s soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Next, throw in the sausage, red pepper, and mushrooms, and cook everything together until the sausage is browned and cooked through, which should take another 5 minutes or so.
Step 2
Pour in the Ragu® Old World Style® Traditional sauce, then add the broken lasagna noodles, water, and a sprig of rosemary. Give it a good stir, cover the skillet, and lower the heat to medium-low. Let it simmer for around 20 minutes, stirring every now and then, until the noodles are just tender.
Step 3
Once the pasta is cooked, take off the lid and stir in the ricotta cheese, most of the shredded mozzarella, and some fresh parsley. Mix everything together gently, then sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella on top. Let it melt for a minute or two, and it’s ready to serve.
