Why This Dish Is Worth Trying
Simple Cooking Tips
- Stir the rice occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- Add a splash of chicken broth if the sauce becomes too thick while cooking.
Directions
First, heat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a deep 9x13-inch baking dish. In a bowl, mix together the chicken stock, condensed soups, melted butter, salt, and pepper until well combined. Spread the rice evenly across the bottom of the baking dish, then scatter the cubed chicken on top. Pour the soup and stock mixture gently over everything, taking care not to let it spill over the sides. Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded Cheddar cheese over the top to cover it all. Pop the dish into the oven and bake for about 60 to 75 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is golden and bubbly. Let it sit for around 10 minutes before serving to let everything set.
