Why This Dish Is So Special
Pro Cooking Tips
- Preheat the grill well so the broccoli gets a nice char without sticking.
- Brush the broccoli with oil before grilling to keep it moist and enhance the flavor.
Directions
Mix together the vegetable oil, soy sauce, gochujang, honey, lime juice, and red pepper flakes in a bowl to create a flavorful sauce. Fire up your grill to low heat and give the grate a light coating of oil so the broccoli doesn’t stick. Place the broccoli steaks on the grill, cover it, and let them cook for about 2 minutes before flipping. After flipping, cook for another 2 minutes to get a nice start on the grill marks. Flip the broccoli again and brush on a generous amount of the sauce, making sure to really coat the stems. Let them cook for 5 to 7 minutes, then turn once more and give them another good brush with the sauce. Continue grilling until the stems are tender but still have a bit of firmness, which should take another 5 to 7 minutes. Enjoy!
