Why This Recipe Is So Delicious
Kitchen Tricks
- Avoid pressing down on the burgers while cooking to keep them juicy.
- Let the burgers rest for a few minutes after cooking to lock in the juices.
Step 1
Gently heat a large skillet over low heat and lightly oiling it to keep the burgers from sticking. In a big bowl, combine the ground beef, egg whites, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese, sea salt, steak seasoning, and parsley. Mix everything together gently, then shape the mixture into about five patties.
Step 2
Place the patties in the skillet and let them cook for about 5 minutes on one side. Flip them over and cook for another 5 minutes. Now turn the heat up to medium or medium-high, cover the skillet, and keep cooking the burgers, flipping them every now and then, until they’re cooked through and still juicy—this should take another 5 to 10 minutes. To be sure, check that the center reaches 160°F (71°C) with a meat thermometer. Just before serving, drizzle a little liquid hickory smoke seasoning on top for an extra burst of flavor.
