Why This Recipe Is So Tasty
Tips From The Kitchen
- Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors soak in deeply.
- Cook the chicken over medium heat to keep it juicy and tender without burning the ginger.
Step 1
In a bowl, toss the chicken with salt, pepper, cornflour, and an egg until everything is well coated. Let it marinate for about an hour.
Step 2
Heat about 2 cups of oil in a pan. Fry the chicken pieces until they turn golden brown and crispy. Once done, take them out and drain the excess oil, leaving about 1½ cups in the pan.
Step 3
Add the fried chicken back into the pan. Pour in the barbecue sauce, soy sauce, fresh ginger, and chopped chilies. Stir everything together and cook for another minute or so until the chicken is nicely coated and heated through.
Step 4
Serve hot and enjoy your flavorful ginger chili chicken!
