- Avoid overfilling the tart shells to prevent spills during baking.
- Let the tarts cool completely before removing them from the tin to keep their shape.
Step 1
Lightly heat your oven to 400ยฐF (205ยฐC). Arrange the tart shells on a baking sheet and pop them in the oven. Let them bake until the edges turn a nice golden color, which should take about 10 minutes.

Once that's done, lower the oven temperature to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and move a rack to the upper third of the oven.

In a bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, golden syrup, butter, eggs, vanilla, and a pinch of salt until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Spoon this filling into each tart shell, filling them about two-thirds full.
Step 4
Place the tarts back in the oven and bake until the filling starts to bubble and turn a lovely golden color, roughly 15 minutes. When they're done, take them out and let them cool on a wire rack for a few minutes. These are delicious served warm or at room temperature.
