Why This Recipe Is So Delicious
Kitchen Tips
- Preheat the grill properly to get those nice grill marks and avoid sticking.
- Use medium heat to cook the patties evenly without burning the outside.
Step 1
Combine the chicken with red onion, cilantro, chili powder, yogurt, tandoori paste, lemon juice, parsley, cumin, red pepper flakes, garlic paste, ginger paste, and garam masala in a bowl. Cover it up and let it marinate in the fridge for up to two days if you have the time—this really helps the flavors meld.
Step 2
When you’re ready to cook, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Then, stir in the bread crumbs and egg to the marinated chicken mixture and shape everything into patties. Place the patties on a baking sheet and bake them for about 5 to 8 minutes on each side until they’re cooked through.
Step 3
Heat a bit of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties in the hot oil until they get a nice browned crust, around 7 to 8 minutes per side. To be sure they’re done, check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Enjoy!
