Why This Recipe Is So Flavorful
Kitchen Tricks
- Add a pinch of cinnamon for extra warmth and flavor.
- Donβt overbake; take them out when edges are golden to keep them soft inside.
Directions
Heat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. In a big bowl, mix together the oats, whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, wheat germ, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, combine the mashed banana, applesauce, egg whites, and vanilla extract, then stir that into the dry ingredients until everything is well blended. Fold in the chocolate chips and cranberries gently so theyβre evenly spread throughout the batter. Using a tablespoon, drop spoonfuls of the dough onto your prepared baking sheet, spacing them out a bit. Pop the tray in the oven and bake for about 12 minutes, or until the cookies turn a nice golden brown. Let them cool slightly before enjoying!
