Best Cooking Tips
- Press the pumpkin design gently but firmly to keep it visible after baking.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing to keep it moist and hold its shape.
Step 1
Heat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). In a big bowl, mix together the ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, chopped onion, spaghetti sauce, Parmesan cheese, and garlic salt until everything is well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the bowl, smoothing out the top. Then, carefully flip the bowl over onto a large cake pan with sides to catch any drippings. Use your fingers to shape a little stem at the top and carve a fun or spooky pumpkin face into the meatloaf.
Step 2
In a small bowl, stir together some spaghetti sauce with a few drops of orange food coloring. Brush this mixture all over the surface of your meatloaf and sprinkle a bit of Italian seasoning over the stem to add some herby flavor. Pop it into the oven and bake for about 1 Β½ to 2 hours, or until the meat is cooked through and no longer pink inside.
Step 3
Once itβs done, drain off any grease from the pan or carefully transfer the meatloaf to a serving plate. Let it rest a few minutes before slicing and serving.
