What Makes This Dish So Tasty
Pro Cooking Tips
- Toast the slider buns lightly to add a bit of crunch and prevent sogginess.
- Let the sliders rest for a few minutes after cooking to keep them juicy.
Step 1
Lightly heat your grill to medium-high, around 375 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. While the grill is warming up, mix the ground beef with chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and cumin in a big bowl until everything is well combined. Shape the mixture into eight small patties. Give the grill grate a light coating of oil to keep the patties from sticking, then cook them for about 3 minutes on each side until they’re nicely browned. During the last minute on the grill, add a slice of cheese on top so it melts just right.
Step 2
Meanwhile, blend together the cilantro, mayo, jalapeño, and lemon juice until smooth. Spread this zesty sauce on the bottom halves of your buns. Layer on some cabbage, then place the cheesy patties on top before finishing with the bun tops. Serve right away and enjoy!
