What Makes This Recipe So Great
Practical Cooking Tips
- Let the taco shells cool completely before adding the filling to keep them crisp.
- Warm the apple filling slightly before serving to enhance the flavors and soften the apples.
Directions
Lightly heat your oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). Pour the apple pie filling into a bowl and give the apple slices a quick dice. Take a small oven-safe bowl and press a tortilla inside it to shape a little cup. Brush the inside of the tortilla with melted butter, then sprinkle on plenty of cinnamon sugar for a sweet, crispy finish. Pop the tortilla cups into the oven and bake for about 10 to 12 minutes, until they turn nice and crisp. Carefully lift them out and let them cool on a wire rack. Once they're ready, fill each cup with a scoop of ice cream, spoon over the apple filling, and finish with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Enjoy!
