Why This Dish Is Amazing
Best Cooking Tips
- Toast the couscous in a dry pan for a few minutes before adding liquid to enhance its nutty flavor.
- Adjust the amount of curry powder to your tasteβstart with less and add more if you prefer a stronger spice.
Directions
Lightly heat some oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Toss in the chopped onion, bouillon cubes, curry powder, and oregano. Stir everything around, breaking up the bouillon cubes as you go, and cook until the onion becomes soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes. Next, add the couscous and give it a good mix to coat it with the spices. Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, cover the pan, turn the heat down to low, and let it simmer. Make sure to stir it occasionally so nothing sticks, and cook until the couscous is tender, which should take around 8 to 10 minutes.
