Why This Recipe Is So Tasty
Cooking Tips You Should Know
- Drain the tuna well to avoid a soggy filling.
- Add cheese on top and broil briefly for a bubbly, golden finish.
Directions
Move your oven rack so it's about 6 inches from the heat, then turn on the broiler to preheat. Lay the bread slices out in a single layer on a baking sheet and pop them under the broiler for about a minute on each side, just until they're lightly toasted. While the bread is toasting, mix together the tuna, mayo, lemon juice, lemon zest, and dill in a bowl until everything is well combined. Once the bread is toasted, spread the tuna mixture evenly over each slice. Then, add a few tomato slices on top and finish with a generous layer of Swiss cheese. Put the baking sheet back in the oven and broil everything for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on it so it doesnβt burn!
