What Makes This Recipe So Good
Chef Tips
- Cook the meatballs evenly by turning them gently in the pan.
- Toast the slider buns lightly to add a bit of crunch and prevent sogginess.
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix together the ground meats, egg, Romano cheese, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir in the breadcrumbs, then slowly add water a little at a time until the mixture feels moist but not too wet. Shape the mixture into patties, about 2 ounces each, and pop them in the fridge while you get everything else ready.
Step 2
Heat up your grill or a grill pan over medium heat and lightly oil it. Cook the patties until theyβre thoroughly done, flipping them once. When theyβre almost finished, place a slice of provolone cheese (cut in half to fit) on each patty and let it melt for about a minute.
Step 3
While the cheese is melting, toast the slider buns cut side down on the grill until theyβre nicely browned. To assemble, pile each cheeseburger with a couple of tablespoons of grilled onions and sun-dried tomatoes. Serve warm and enjoy!
