Tips To Improve This Recipe
- Cook the bacon until it’s crisp but not burnt for a nice crunch.
- Crack the eggs gently on top to keep the yolks intact if you prefer them runny.
Step 1
Lightly heat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and placing the pizza on a baking sheet. Pop it in the oven and let it bake for about 13 to 15 minutes. While the pizza is cooking, warm some olive oil in a frying pan and sauté the bacon, onion, and bell pepper until everything is nice and tender, which should take around 8 to 10 minutes. Drain any excess grease, then toss in the chopped spinach and garlic, stirring until the spinach wilts. Take the pan off the heat and transfer the veggie mix to a small bowl to cool for a few minutes.
Step 2
Once the pizza is out of the oven (keep the oven on!), add the egg whites to the veggie mixture and give it a good stir. Carefully spoon this mixture over the pizza, going slowly so the eggs don’t spill over the edges. If any drips fall, just scoop them back up with your spoon and spread them on top. Return the pizza to the oven for another 10 minutes. Then sprinkle on the Cheddar cheese and bake for 5 more minutes until it’s melted and bubbly. Finish with some fresh basil on top before serving.
