Pro Kitchen Tips
- Chill the dough well before shaping to make handling easier.
- Melt the chocolate slowly to avoid burning and ensure a smooth coating.
Step 1
Beat the brown sugar and butter together in a bowl until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 4 to 5 minutes. Then stir in the milk, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Add the flour and mix everything together by hand until itβs well combined. Gently fold in a cup of chocolate chips. Cover the dough and pop it in the fridge for around an hour to chill.
Step 2
Once chilled, scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place the balls on a plate or baking sheet that fits in your freezer, and freeze them until theyβre firm, which usually takes about an hour.
Step 3
While the dough balls are freezing, melt the chocolate chips and white chocolate chips separately. Use microwave-safe bowls and heat them in short burstsβstart with 30 seconds, then stir, and keep microwaving in 10-second intervals, stirring each time, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
Step 4
Dip each cookie dough ball into the melted chocolate, then drizzle some of the white chocolate on top for a pretty finish. Pop the truffles back in the fridge and let them set until the chocolate is firm, about 30 minutes. Enjoy!
