Directions
Gently heat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). In a big bowl, combine the ground beef, sausage, chopped onion, grated carrots, onion soup mix, brown sugar, eggs, and BBQ sauce. Give it a good mix until everything is well blended. Then, gradually add oatsβup to about 2 cupsβuntil the mixture sticks together nicely. Split the mixture in half and press each portion into a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Lay three strips of bacon lengthwise across each meatloaf. Pop them in the oven and bake for about an hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the juices run clear. Let them rest a little before slicing and serving.
