Smart Cooking Tips
- Use a heavy oven-safe dish to ensure even cooking.
- Stir the beans halfway through baking to keep the sauce well mixed.
Directions
Lightly heat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium-high heat, turning it now and then until itβs nicely browned, which should take about 10 minutes. Once cooked, drain the bacon on some paper towels. In a 2-quart casserole dish, mix together the pork and beans, chopped onion, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Chop up the cooled bacon and stir it into the bean mixture. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and pop it in the oven. Let it bake for about an hour and a half until everything is bubbly and flavors have melded together.
