- Press the mixture firmly into the baking dish or onto the baking sheet to help the burgers hold together.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165ยฐF for safe consumption.
Step 1
Warm your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and lining a glass baking dish with aluminum foil. In a saucepan, bring some water to a boil and add the quinoa. Turn the heat down to medium-low, cover, and let it simmer until the quinoa is nice and tender, about 15 to 20 minutes. Once done, set it aside to cool.
Step 2
While the quinoa is cooking, warm up some oil in a skillet over medium heat. Toss in the chopped onion and cook until itโs soft and translucent, which usually takes around 5 minutes. Then add the garlic and cook it for just about a minute until it smells amazing.
Step 3
In a big bowl, mix together the cooled quinoa, sautรฉed onions and garlic, 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce, eggs, barbecue sauce, hot sauce, seasoned salt, and black pepper. Give it a good whisk to combine everything. Then add the ground turkey and use your hands to mix it all really well. Shape the mixture into patties and place them in your prepared baking dish.
Step 4
Stir together the remaining 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce with the brown sugar until it forms a thick paste. Spread this over the tops of the patties.
Step 5
Pop the dish into the oven and bake the burgers for about 35 to 45 minutes, or until theyโre cooked through and no longer pink inside. Enjoy!
