What Makes This Recipe So Great
Cooking Techniques
- Let the pork rest for a few minutes after cooking to keep it tender.
- Choose ripe but firm pears to ensure the sauce has a nice texture and natural sweetness.
Step 1
Combin the pears, brown sugar, lemon juice, pear juice, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan. Bring everything to a boil, then let it cook for about 30 minutes, stirring now and then until the sauce thickens. Once itβs thickened, pour the mixture into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour it back into the saucepan, cover, and let it simmer gently for another 15 minutes on low heat. After that, take it off the heat and let it cool a bit.
Step 2
Meanwhile, heat some oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the pork chops for about 8 minutes, flipping them once halfway through, until theyβre cooked all the way through. When the chops are ready, spoon the pear sauce over the top and enjoy!
