Why This Dish Is Hard To Resist

A quick and easy way to enjoy tender, flavorful pork without hours of slow cooking. The pressure cooker locks in moisture, making the meat juicy and perfect for shredding. It’s a versatile recipe that works great for a casual dinner or a party.

Helpful Tips For Cooking

- Brown the pork before pressure cooking to add extra flavor.
- Use fresh spices and herbs to enhance the taste.
- Let the pressure release naturally for a few minutes to keep the meat tender.

Step 1

Trim off any extra fat from the pork and cutting it into four equal pieces. Sprinkle each piece generously with salt. Heat some canola oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then brown the pork in batches, cooking each side for about 8 minutes until you get a nice crust. Once browned, transfer the pork to a plate and rub the taco seasoning all over each piece.

Step 2

Pour the broth into your pressure cooker and set a rack inside. Place the seasoned pork on the rack, secure the lid, and bring it to low pressure over medium-low heat. Let it cook until the pork is tender and easy to shred, which should take around 45 minutes. When it’s done, allow the pressure to release naturally for about 15 minutes before opening the lid.

Step 3

Finally, use two forks to shred the pork right in the pot. It’s now ready to be piled into your favorite taco shells!

How To Serve This Dish

Serve the shredded pork on warm tortillas with fresh cilantro, diced onions, and a squeeze of lime. Add your favorite salsa or a dollop of sour cream for extra creaminess. A side of Mexican rice or black beans complements the meal perfectly.

Storage Instructions

Store leftover pork in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. You can also freeze it for up to 3 months. When reheating, add a splash of broth or water to keep the meat moist.
