Why This Recipe Is So Tasty
Best Cooking Tips
- Chill the dough briefly if it feels too soft before baking.
- Keep an eye on the cookies while baking to avoid over-browning.
Step 1
Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a bowl. Then, pour this dry mixture into a 4-cup glass jar. Next, add the brown sugar and superfine sugar in layers, pressing down firmly after each one. Follow with layers of oats, dried cranberries, and chocolate chips. Seal the jar tightly and set it aside.
Step 2
When you’re ready to bake, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Dump the dry mix from the jar into a large bowl, then stir in softened butter, an egg, and vanilla extract until everything comes together into a dough. Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll them into balls, and place them about 2 inches apart on the prepared sheets.
Step 3
Bake the cookies for 10 to 15 minutes, or until they’re lightly golden around the edges. Let them cool on the baking sheets for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
