Pro Cooking Tips
- Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes to enhance tenderness and taste.
- Cook the chicken over medium heat to avoid drying it out.
Step 1
Gently heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish with the skin side facing up. Sprinkle half of the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika evenly over the skin side. Then flip the chicken over and season the other side with the remaining spices. Squeeze the juice of the lemons over the chicken, toss out the squeezed lemons, and pour in 1 cup of water around the chicken.
Step 2
Pop the dish into the oven and bake for about 30 minutes. While that’s cooking, mix the rest of the water with the chicken bouillon in a small pot and bring it to a boil. Once the first 30 minutes are up, pour this flavorful broth over the chicken, flip the breasts so the skin is back on top, and return the dish to the oven.
Step 3
Keep baking until the skin turns golden and crispy, and the chicken is cooked through — you shouldn’t see any pink near the bone and the juices should run clear. This usually takes around 45 minutes more. To be sure, check that the internal temperature reads 165°F (74°C) with a meat thermometer.
