Tips For Perfect Results
- Let the dough rest a little longer if your kitchen is cold to help it rise better.
- Brush the tops with melted butter right after baking for a shiny, flavorful finish.
Step 1
Ad the bread flour, buttermilk, brown sugar, salt, yeast, and egg yolk to your bread machine. Use the Dough setting to mix everything until itβs just combined and moist. When the machine pauses, pour in the oil, then let it finish the rest of the dough cycle.
Step 2
While the dough is mixing, grease a muffin tin or a baking sheet and set it aside. Once the dough is ready, take it out and give it a good punch down. Divide it into 12 equal pieces, shape each into a smooth, round roll, and place them in the muffin cups or on the baking sheet, making sure they have a little space between them.
Step 3
Cover the rolls with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise somewhere warm until theyβve doubled in size, about 25 minutes. While theyβre rising, preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
Step 4
When the rolls have puffed up, pop them in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes, or until theyβre golden brown on top. As soon as they come out, rub the tops with a stick of butter to keep the crust soft. Let them cool just a bit, then enjoy them warm!
