Why This Recipe Is A Must Try
Cooking Pointers
- Avoid overmixing the meat mixture to keep the loaf tender.
- Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes after baking to make slicing easier.
Step 1
Combin the chopped onion, mushrooms, milk, bread crumbs, eggs, and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Crumble the ground beef into the mixture and give everything a good stir until itβs well combined. Shape the mixture into a round loaf and pop it into your slow cooker.
Step 2
Set the slow cooker to low and let it cook for about 5 to 6 hours, or until the meatloaf is no longer pink in the middle. You can check with an instant-read thermometer; it should register at least 160Β°F (70Β°C).
Step 3
While thatβs cooking, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl. Once the meatloaf is done, spread this glaze all over the top.
Step 4
Put the lid back on and let it cook for another 15 minutes so the glaze gets warm and a bit sticky. When itβs ready, carefully transfer the meatloaf to a cutting board and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
